My Students

My students are energetic and hands-on kindergartners who like to experience their learning first hand. This year we are focusing on STEAM activities including coding, gardening, robots, and much more.

The students at my school all qualify for free breakfast and lunch, meaning that the food they get at school could be their only food.

Many of our students do not have the benefit of attending paid after school programs, therefore classroom activities are that much more important for them.

My Project

It is extremely important to have a classroom library. It is a place where the students can to relax and find solace in book and stories they offer. One of the series of books I chose to focus on is the Pete the Cat series. He is a character that the students can look up to and the stories have great lessons in them. I also chose many Dr. Seuss books because I think it is important to keep the classics in the classroom. I want my students to be inspired by the creativity of his unique and whimsical stories. Please help be to build my classroom library with these beloved books.
