My Project

Our classroom loves to read! I love that my students want to make connections to the stories we are reading. I would love to provide books in our classroom library that allows students to make connections to fairytales and fables that have a twist, where students can become more connected and engaged in the story.

Instead of traditional fairytales and fables, I want my students to understand there are many ways to "tell a tale," and they can even make a traditional story more modern by changing the story to fit today's time period.

I also want our classroom to connect to the stories through their own experiences, and the stories I have selected will allow these connections.
