My Students

Currently, my students have a great classroom library but have no where to sit to read their books! They need a comfy spot where they can sit down and enjoy a great book.

My Kindergarten students attend an urban, public elementary school in Minnesota, with a population consisting of ninety-seven percent students of color, ninety-eight percent students receiving free/reduced lunch, and seventy percent English Language Learners.

My Project

Having beanbags and soft seats will give students a comfy place to sit down and enjoy a great book in our classroom library. They will be used during morning play time, literacy centers, and possibly as somewhere for students to sit if they need to calm down.

My kindergarten already enjoy reading books in our classroom library.

Help them fall in love with Clifford, Curious George, David Shannon, Dr. Seuss, Maisy, and other great stories by providing them with a comfy spot to read!
