Classroom Library Makeover!

My Students

I am greeted by 19 smiling, eager-to-learn faces every day. I am blessed to teach in a small community in western North Carolina where my students love to collaborate, learn about the world around them, and create new ways to solve real-world problems.

Although the students in my classroom are faced with many obstacles, they continue to strive to be the best learners they can be.

As their teacher, I want to help encourage them to maintain their love of learning and overcome the obstacles they face.

My Project

The ability to read is one of the most important factors in the future success of students. As a teacher, it is one of my biggest goals to engage students in reading and help them develop a love for all genres. Currently, my classroom library is in need of a makeover so my students can easily identify books of different interests and genres.

Having these bookshelves will allow me to organize my classroom library so that students can quickly identify the different genres of literature available to them.

The new organization will aid in not only the ability to select books of interest, but will serve for an additional resource to teach my students about the different types of literature available to them. I am truly grateful for any support given to my students! They definitely deserve it!
