Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are very unique and amazing! My students and their families come from various parts of the world. I am fortunate that I get to learn about a variety of perspectives, customs, ​and cultures through them. Many of them have been through a great deal simply to be in a safe environment and to gain a quality education.

My students approach each day ready to take on a challenge.

They inspire me to grow as an educator. They are striving to work in a global setting and to become the future leaders of this world. I am so proud to be their teacher!

My Project

Today's children live in a digital world and they are very reluctant to pick up a book that looks outdated or disengaging. With this project, I will be able to begin the process of creating a new classroom library for my students.

Our classroom library will be filled with more informational texts, graphic novels, ​and titles in which the covers have been updated to reflect today's expectations.

Many of the books that we have in our library are old and worn. Students look them over even though the content is classic and meaningful. Please consider a donation to this project.
