My students need plastic drawers to help organize our classroom library. Right now, our classroom books are in baskets and shelves, in no particular order, making it difficult for my students to choose just right books.

My Students
I have 18 kindergarten students in a public elementary school in Bridgeport. I have a mix of both boys and girls, ranging from four to five years old. They will turn six in my classroom.
My students are in an urban school district, with title 1 funding, and they are energetic, dynamic, diverse kindergarteners who possess a love of learning.
They are happy, loved, and always eager to return to school the next day. They enjoy working with their hands, developing a growth mindset and a positive environment. Each students is different, and requires different tools to succeed in my room.
My Project
In my classroom, my classroom library is in need of some love! Actually, a lot of love. Currently, all of my books are in baskets, buckets, bins, and alone on shelves. They are not in any particular order, or organization. This makes it very difficult for my students to choose a book. The area seems very overwhelming for kindergarteners, and they ultimately cannot choose a book because of how unorganized it is.
I want my students to foster a love for reading, and with the use of plastic drawers, my students will be able to access books that are both on their reading level, and that are of their interest.
