Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

As a first year 4th grade teacher I am trying to build a classroom library that is not only appealing to the eye, but that also makes available meaningful and personally interesting books. I teach at a Chicago public school. My classroom will welcome about 30 students this year. For my students I am looking for books that they may be interested in, and books that are culturally relevant to them. The classroom library is also in need of a book shelf to hold these and other books. I am asking for the following 5 books: "Baseball in April", "Harvesting Hope" "Erandi's Braids", "Judy Moody Gets Famous" and "James and the Giant Peach" These books will be used as read-alouds, and students will be able to check them out in the classroom library. I know my students will love these books. I would be very grateful to anyone that can help. Thank you.
