My students are passionate lifelong learners who are eager to explore the world around them. They enjoy asking thought-provoking questions and digging deeper into the depth of knowledge in our world. They love to showcase their amazing talents each day, and we grow as a collaborative learning community each day. There are 20 students who come from low income households. Students get free/reduced lunch and get lots of help with hygiene and other basic needs. Our school bands together with our community to support our students and give them everything they need to succeed, but it not without struggles. Students in the school are very diverse and come from a variety of ethic backgrounds. We do well to help promote cultural diversity as best we can. My students truly care about their learning and just want the same success as any other school.
This group of students are a one-of-a-kind class that loves to learn.
We are eager to push our thinking and not just settle with an answer that everyone knows. We push each other to be better each and every day. We help one another and learn from each other.
My library has been neglected for far too long and needs a face lift. Students in my class have requested to read a variety of books and I hopefully aim to deliver. My students really want to help their reading diet by selecting different types of books, but have limited choices. Most of the books I have chosen are directly requested by my students themselves.
Students need more choices to help them dive into a good book more often.
Too often they get disinterested with reading because of the lack of a book they want to read. I want to get books they enjoy and keep their noses in the books so they can continue their love of reading.
