This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students for the upcoming school year are from predominantly low-income households. I have traveled from Houston, Texas to Charlotte, North Carolina to teach a brand new grade level! This year will be my first year teaching second grade ELA! While I'm new at this grade level, I'm sure they will need a lot to be successful this year! Please help me make my 5th year of teaching great for my new students! All supplies would greatly help the scholars!

My Project

These materials will help these scholars by providing more opportunities to reference anchor charts for mastery of content. Being able to have a space to create charts will really help with this task! Having this will also help the classroom move quicker saving learning time since chart paper is already there. The seat sacks will give students even closer access to materials to maximize learning time. Having them will create a space for materials like workbooks, journals, pencils, and spirals. Students will no longer have to pass these materials out and put them away each day making more learning time.
