I teach 3rd grade, in a Title I school and my students are from a lower income area and come to school with very little supplies. Our students all receive free breakfast and most receive free lunch. My students come to school, and for some, this may be the only structure they may get.
Some are very far behind and others are at grade level, all in a class of 20 students plus.
These are 8 and 9-year-old students. Many require small group or individual time, and for this, we work in stations.
I have worked in a Title I school for 6 years, and have been teaching for 19 years. I enjoy my job and love to see the growth progress in my students at whatever stage they are at. As long as they are progressing, they are growing.
My Project
Please, help our class hear while using computer programs! We use headphones daily as we use Academic Software when we are in the computer lab and while we rotate in our own class for stations. Our school headphones are not being replaced as many have been broken this year or have broken this year due to age.
My students all have various levels of learning abilities so headphones are extremely important as every child is receiving instruction at their level.
So I am asking of you if you would please donate to this project to help our students hear what they're going to miss otherwise. Thank you.
