My students need 20 Bouncy Bands for their chairs and 48 stress balls/fidget toys to help them focus during class.

My Students

A typical day in my classroom consists of a greeting at the door to help prepare students for the lesson of the day. All students love to see a smiling face as they enter the class!

My students are 6th, 7th, and 8th grade middle school special education students.

All of my students have various levels of disabilities. Each student has a uniqueness about themselves that makes them special in their own way! They all love to come to school and are prepared to learn.

My Project

My students will learn how to self manage themselves when they get fidgety at their desks. The stretch bands will assist the students when their feet want to move. The tension will help them to relax and focus on the lesson. They will also use the stress balls to squeeze when they get anxious and will help them to learn how to wait for the next activity or refocus on the current activity.

Donations for this project will assist my students in learning how to self manage their behavior and help keep them focused during class or waiting for the next activity.

By using the stretch band or stress ball, they will be able to keep track of their behavior instead of getting in trouble. Students love to be able to help themselves!
