Our school is the bridge between lower elementary and the greater demands for self-discipline and personal responsibility expected at the junior high and high school. Our school is a Title I school and our classes are departmentalized. At our school, we prepare our students for the challenges ahead with an emphasis on curriculum along with opportunities to discover areas of strength and interest.
I love that my students are eager to learn and try new things.
They are willing to try new books that are out of their comfort zone. This is my third year teaching here, and I am excited to continue to learn about my students, the school, and our city. My goal is to help the students discover their love for reading.
My Project
I love that my students enjoy the comfort of our classroom. I want the students to feel comfortable and not overwhelmed. This means, having a classroom that is calming and enjoyable.
Creating a safe and comfortable place for my students is important to me.
My students love working with the lights off. Unfortunately, I only have one small window. Adding these lights will definitely help brighten up the room. The magnetic letters will be used for the date displayed on the whiteboard. I constantly use the Smartboard. It will be great to not be stuck standing in front of it at all times. I will be able to change slides and walk around helping students. Astrobright paper is a perfect addition to our classroom. The bright colors will be used for all different activities and posting things. To ensure it lasts, the lamination sheets will help. I like to laminate a lot of different things to use for years to come.
