This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am very lucky to be able to spend my time with this diverse and unique group of students. My learners are very proud of their accomplishments, but also struggle with their weaknesses. Children need structure and consistency at school to help them be successful. My class is very diverse economically, culturally, and academically.

Curious, enthusiastic, and creative; my students are eager to immerse themselves in any kind of challenge.

For a lot of students, school is their safe place where they can always feel successful and I would love materials to build the classroom community where they can still be engaged and feel loved by our class while at home.

My Project

I am so happy to be back in person with my students! We have had such a great start to the year but are in need of a few essentials to keep our classroom clean and running smoothly. The biggest need is toner for my brother printer.

With supply and demand issues our school printers are not always reliable when it comes to having toner to print.

While we have access to a print shop, that takes a few days to get back the copies asked for. I do a lot of technology based assignments, but still need access to a printer for various assignments. It would take away a lot of the stress of wondering if I will get my copies in time to have toner for the brother printer that I got funded last year.

I am also asking for Lysol wipes and tissues to help keep out classroom clean and sanitary for us all. Last, my students are in need of headphones. Many of them already have their own but having a class set would help keep students focused on their own work when on the computers.
