My Students

My classroom has 17 wonderfully diverse students who come to school each day eager to learn. Some students are confused about the material presented or find it difficult to stay engaged. My goal is to use technology to help these students learn in their own unique way and at their own pace. Our school is a newer Title I school with fewer resources, and many of the parents of the students work more than one job and do not have the means, the language knowledge, or the educational ability to support our students' learning at home. Our school is filled with caring educators that nurture all of these beautiful children in ways that extend beyond the classroom. Providing a meal, personal grooming products, clothing, and other student needs to our families is a common occurrence. I am truly blessed to teach at this school with these wonderful, amazing students and teachers.

My Project

Distractions in kindergarten are greatly numbered. There are so many things within the classroom that can easily distract a 5 year old! These privacy folders will help the students be able to focus on the test or task that they need to complete in a less distracting environment.

I know that students with ADHD are even more likely to become distracted and I know that these will help.

The magna tiles will be a great addition to our learning environment. They encourage creativity and are a great way to incorporate S.T.E.M into our lessons. The kids will enjoy building and creating with them during our learning stations!
