Our math classroom is an area for active learning. Throughout the day, students participate in whole class learning, partner work, group collaboration, and independent study. We love to add movement, music, art, and technology to our day to encourage every student.
There are 75 uniquely diverse six graders in three different math blocks.
They come to school excited and ready to learn. They love sharing their ideas and questions with the class. Our school is a staple in the community offering a safe and wonderful place to learn.
My Project
Students need basic classroom supplies and motivation during school hours in order to be successful scholars. 6th grade math students go through tons of school supplies throughout the school year. The classroom needs basic supplies like a pencil sharpener and dry erase markers to use during math.
Classroom incentives will help increase engagement and motivation during the math block.
Giving the students rewards they can work for like fun pens and mechanical pencils will help struggling students stay more engaged and motivated throughout the day.
