Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My school is a Title I school. Our students come from a variety of economic background with over 75% receiving free lunch. Our school is one of the few Spanish immersion schools in the district. Children are taught in English and Spanish.
My students have learning disabilities that make it difficult for them to function successfully in a regular class setting.
Yet, they are happy children who enjoy coming to school and come ready to learn and be successful every single day.
My Project
My students and classroom need some essential needs. We need things like calculator for those students with special needs that require this instrument. We need basic things like pencils, erasers, lead refill. We also need colorful dry erase markers to make our classroom more colorful. We need folders to be a able to create packets of work. We also need an electric sharpener and crayon sharpener to help us sharpen our crayon, color pencils and regular pencils. All these items are basic needs that are needed to run a classroom. I know that getting all these items will make our end of the year more successful. Thank you!
