This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Our classroom is very curious! We love to be able to see, hear, touch, smell, and create!
My students love hands-on activities.
They are very curious and love to be able to manipulate things in order to learn. We do a great deal of activities that require testing things out, exploring our options, problem solving skills, and activating what we already know!
My Project
My students need a classroom aquarium with accessories to be able to see and be a part of a real life ecosystem. The materials requested will be observed and manipulated as needed to teach our students about ecosystems. They will be able to make suggestions on what to add to the tank to be a part of the ecosystem, identify the roles of each organism, and see and ecosystem in action!
This project will make a difference in our classroom by allowing the students to experience the content that they are learning about ecosystems first hand.
They will help with the responsibilities and upkeep of the tank, and have the memories of our classroom aquarium forever!
