Ms. Jayne from Brooklyn NY is requesting classroom basics through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need easels to improve the everyday instruction within their mathematics classroom.

Do you remember being a student and not having enough time to copy the days notes, a key chart, formula or diagram? With the emphasis on State Testing, this is something that is common place now. Rather than sit back and do nothing, my students need whiteboards to keep notes up for extended time to fully understand math concepts.
My students are 12 students who have been diagnosed with Emotional Disturbances/Learning Disabilities.
Growing up in Brooklyn, my students are striving to get better lives than the ones they currently are living. Unfortunately, my students have a hard time keeping up with notes, diagrams and formulas due to their disabilities and diverse learning styles. My students need all the help they can get in keeping up with the work. With that being said, how can I not help them? They need all the support they can get and it starts with their community.
My students often have a hard time completing notes in the assigned period. Instead of erasing the whiteboard on a regular basis for the next instructional period, my students need a space where daily math notes, diagrams or formulas can remain safe! My students have been dealt a different hand when compare to us.
They have to take the same standardized State exams as we did growing up, but work at a slower pace.
Often times, I hear Ms. J can you leave those notes up a bit longer? With ONE whiteboard, and teaching separate math courses, this is very hard. My students do not deserve this, they need all the time they can get for the notes. It is our job to help them! Be the first, the next and more importantly be the last person to help my students!
