My students need a double sided Teaching Easel, as a main teaching tool, that will provide all students with multiple activities in all curriculum areas throughout the day.
My kindergarten students are an amazing group who love learning new things every day. They get excited to participate in interactive lessons that allow them to draw or write on a whiteboard. As young students they need instruction that provides them with hands on practice, teacher demonstrations, and peer modeling. They also need to experience writing on vertical surfaces to strengthen their muscles to become better writers. Providing them with rich high quality material is extremely important.
My classroom consists of 16 wonderful individuals representing many different levels, learning styles, and socio-economic backgrounds.
Each student is incredibly sweet and work hard on a daily basis. They love working together and helping one another.
The students are very appreciative of all that is done for them.
My Project
A double sided whiteboard writing easel would be beneficial to the students in my kindergarten classroom. There are many reasons why it is important for young children to have opportunities to work on vertical surfaces. Working on vertical surfaces helps strengthen children's shoulder and core muscles, provides them practice crossing midline, hand-eye coordination, spatial awareness, and also helps attention by allowing students to change positions. There are so many ways this easel would enhance lessons by providing an interactive experience for all students. A teaching easel has several other uses than writing. Lessons can be taught using magnetic pieces for a visual or attaching chart paper to the rail at the top of easel.

A teaching easel would be great for whole group activities, small groups, and individual practice. Students will be able to clearly see what is being presented as well as practice and edit their work in a safe and fun way!
