Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am a student in Mrs. Hayse's classroom. I am a senior and I'm graduating at the end of the fall semester. I am researching how to do a fundraiser for my senior project. I chose to do this project to help with the snack store that Mrs. Hayse set up to help students behave better and keep their grades up. The store has been successful and we have run out of snacks and drinks. We each take turns running the store. It is teaching us job skills that will help us if we get a job working as a cashier.
My Project
For my senior project I'm researching how to do a fundraiser. My teacher suggested this website. She is mentoring me on how to run a fundraiser.
This first thing I did was to create a survey and send it out to all the students that are involved.
After I got the results back I selected the items that had the most votes. These are the items I'm asking for.
The snacks will be available for students in the classroom. They all are given jobs they get paid for. They also have a set list of bills they must pay including rent and taxes. They earn bonus money for not being tardy, not having missing assignments, not being on our cell phones or messing around on our iPads. We also lose money if we are on our phones or messing around on our iPads. We have to budget our money to make sure that we have enough money at the end of the month to pay our bills and taxes. These snacks will be available for purchase with the classroom bucks we earn.
