My Students
My students are creative, energetic and love to learn new things. They are thoughtful, and kind and we are working together to build a caring classroom environment.
Many of the students in my classroom come from a variety of language and cultural backgrounds.
67% of my classroom is on free or reduced lunch.
Curious, enthusiastic, and creative; my students are eager to immerse themselves in any kind of challenge. Their enthusiasm is contagious and I love the energy that they convey as they grow and learn new things daily.
My Project
My students are eager and energetic students, and having a colorful, organized carpet area will help us build community and make carpet learning time more effective.
The lessons and activities that take place on the carpet are an essential component to my first graders' learning experience.
Carpet activities help build a strong and caring classroom community and help refocus students' attention.
A carpet with clearly delineated seating areas will help my first grade students know where to sit so that they can focus best on the lessons and activities. Having this carpet in our classroom will save invaluable time, as energy can be focused into the lesson rather than into directing and redirecting students on where they should sit.
This carpet will have a lasting impact throughout the school year and in years to come!
