My scholar's learning abilities are as different as they are. They come from a wide range of backgrounds. Some families struggle to give their scholars the basics where as other families can make sure that their students have everything they could ever need. In my classroom, I strive to make sure that all of my students have the same opportunities to ensure their success.
My scholars love hands-on, interactive learning.
Watching them learn through teamwork has been the most rewarding experience this year. The skills that I am teaching them won't just help them in their academic careers. These skills will benefit them the rest of their lives.
Having a sense of community in a classroom is important. It allows the scholars to feel safe to share their ideas and helps to teach them how to relate to people in the outside world.
A central carpet is essential to any positive classroom community.
It allows each to student to have a designated area where they can gather to learn, share, and grow. This carpet will be a place where they have morning meetings, group lessons, instructional play time, and relaxation.
Because of its individual squares, each student can have their own space. This will help to improve transition times since students will know exactly where to go for whole group learning.
