My students need a class set of 25 headphones for various computer based testing and intervention app usage. They also would like 2 bungee chairs to use for comfort when reading independently.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My 3rd graders are kind, caring, smart, and above all else, they LOVE learning. They absolutely love working collaboratively and sharing their unique perspective with each other. Being a teacher at a low income school has many challenges, but I don't let those challenges define my classroom.
Though some students are faced with difficulties outside of my classroom, I aim to keep a structured and routine-based environment in my room where my students can thrive.
We treat each other like family and work hard to ensure that no one gets left out or left behind.
My Project
Being at a low income school, my students can't always bring everything they need for the school year. Though headphones are on the school supply list, 90% of my students were not able to purchase them.
The headphones will not only provide more comfort for my students, they will also provide a distraction free working environment.
These headphones are a necessity in a classroom of 22 students who are sometimes distracted by their peers' computer apps. Often times, my students use old ear buds that hurt their ears during use.
The bungee chairs are for an added touch of comfort. I currently award VIP privileges to students to put forth the most effort. I would like those hardworking students to be able to use the comfy bungee chairs during independent working time.
