This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In a 7th grade classroom where ambition meets the challenge of organization, the introduction of 2 pocket file holders, clipboards, and cinch straps for headphone wires promises a transformative shift in how students interact with their learning environment. These materials are not just tools; they are bridges to better learning outcomes, particularly for students who work diligently yet struggle with organizational skills. The pocket file holders offer a dedicated space for each student to securely store their notes and handouts, reducing the likelihood of lost or damaged materials and thereby alleviating a significant source of stress and distraction.

Clipboards serve as an extension of the classroom desk, providing a stable and portable writing surface that allows students to work more efficiently in different settings, whether they're collaborating with peers around the classroom or finding a quiet corner to reflect and write.

This flexibility is especially beneficial in a learning environment that values diverse instructional strategies, including group work, independent study, and project-based learning. Moreover, the use of clipboards can particularly aid those students who need a defined space to focus, helping to minimize the clutter and confusion that can sometimes overwhelm their workspace.

Lastly, the cinch straps for headphone wires address a seemingly small but significantly impactful aspect of the modern classroom: the management of technology. The essence of these organizational tools lies in their ability to turn the ideal of an orderly, efficient classroom into a daily reality for 7th graders who are at a critical juncture in developing their academic and life skills.
