My Students

My students are full of life and spunk. They love to learn and explore topics on their own as well as in groups of peers. They are problem solvers and curious.

In our room, we have children from all over the valley as we have a large population that is considered open enrollment.

That said, our school is at the center of the neighborhood and is truly a neighborhood community center. Families come and stay at our school from kindergarten until middle school because we are an amazing school.

My Project

In the year 2018, the need for students to be technologically literate is strong. By the time students are in sixth grade (currently) almost all homework and learn will be via the internet.

Third graders need a strong foundation using a computer and specifically using google apps to access and share information.

The best way to make sure that these students are ready for our current world is to give them daily access to computers within the classroom. Learning can be fun via computers and it grabs the attention of young learners like nothing else. Students can use computers for collaboration as well, creating a 21st century learning environment.
