Classroom Carpet!

Help me give my students a carpet area to learn and collaborate! This will be a common meeting place for me and my students to have group discussions and where they all feel seen and heard.

My Project

As I begin my teaching career as a kindergarten teacher, I know the importance of creating a strong classroom community. I chose this rug to be the place where me and all my students will meet multiple times a day for numerous reasons. The carpet will be used to strengthen social emotional learning, conduct read alouds, and share/listen to the ideas and thoughts of others. I am excited about the design of this carpet specifically since each student will have their own circle and safe space, while all being together.
