Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I absolutely adore my students. They come from diverse cultural backgrounds that make them very fun and interesting individuals. They need a calm classroom and they really seem to thrive best in my classroom when I turn out the lights - which they find to be calming. This helps with behavior issues too. It's been a challenge balancing creating this environment and having enough light to see to complete their work. Studies show that fluorescent lighting can be detrimental over time, so having these fluorescent light filters would most definitely create a better learning environment for my students.
