Help me give my students a more even playing field with reliable technology.

Hooray! This project is fully funded
I haven’t met my students yet because this is my first year working at Culver City High School. However, I have worked for several years at private schools and have seen first-hand the difference that it makes for students to have access to all the technology and materials they need to help them be successful in math. A lot of the students in public schools can not afford the same materials as their private school counterparts, and it puts them at a disadvantage when they all apply to go to the same colleges.
Many students start at a disadvantage because they cannot afford the same materials and technology as other students. In today's math classrooms (and on today's standardized tests), students need to be comfortable working with calculators to solve problems. With just this simple tool in hand, many students feel more confident tackling more difficult problems because they know they can calculate quickly and correctly.
Although 10 calculators is not enough for each student to have their own calculator, it will be a good start on a classroom set, and I will be able to help those students who need it most.
