My students need a bookcase in which to store and view our growing classroom library.

Hooray! This project is fully funded
Many of my students enter my classroom from homes where books are not available and transportation to public libraries is not provided. They do not have the wonderful experience of having a full shelf of books at their fingertips with the option to choose anything they'd like to read.
My students are 7th graders in New Mexico, which is a state struggling to keep kids in school.
Many of my students do not have easy access to books and they thoroughly enjoy the option to read during class. We have a growing classroom library, but unfortunately our small bookshelves are falling apart and are not large enough to view all the reading options that we have.
Despite the hardships they face, my students thoroughly enjoy their reading time. Our classroom has a reading center, which the students promptly renamed the "Living Room". We have a couple comfy chairs, a nice rug, a warm lamp, and thriving plants. A large bookcase will replace the small cases that are falling apart and will centralize the available reading materials in our classroom. This book case will draw attention to our Living Room and will positively influence the value of reading.
Our classroom has received several book donations, but we are running out of places to store our books.
A large book case will not only centralize the books in our class, but it will also open up space for future book donations.
