This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students attend a Special Education high school located in the South Bronx, my student age ranges from 15-20 years old. My students are from an urban community that attends a Title One School. A title one school serves students from low -income communities and receives supplemental funds to assist students' educational goals. The majority of my students have a classification of multiple disabilities which includes intellectual impairments and physical limitations; some students are English Language Learners with disabilities all students receive speech and language therapy, occupational therapy and physical therapy. However, my students are a diverse group of learners that come to school each day eager to learn.
My Project
This project is to help support the basic needs of my classroom to help support my students. The materials I'm requesting are two different color Binders for classwork, so I can color code by subject. The activities in the binders will allow my students to continue to practice various academic and life skills. I'm also requesting writing utensils pens and markers, we use these writing utensils every day they are basic classroom necessities and we are running low on supplies. My students love to create various art projects, therefore, we need cardstock paper. By donating to my classroom you will help support the basic classroom needs of my students.
