Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have extraordinary students with limited resources, but they are courageous and have a zealous spirit to achieve greatness in mathematics and beyond.
My students have so much character and creativity to think outside of the box.
This is shown by their desire to go deeper with mathematics by their creativity in assigned projects. Hands-on activities are a must for students to excel and make learning their own! We are located in the San Fernando Valley, located just north of Los Angeles. All of my students qualify for free or reduced-priced lunch.
My Project
I teach at a Title I school where 90% of students are on free lunch plans. I have a lot of students who come to school without materials and I provide them with what I can. I want to have materials that would last for years to come and it will help my students create projects. I need basic materials like markers so that they can show their creativity and make colorful posters. This will help students focus on the content because they are enjoying doing the projects.
By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
Every classroom needs basic supplies and these materials will allow my students to continue to be productive learners in our classroom.
