My Students

They are the youngest kindergarteners, starting school at the age of four and then turning five after school starts in the fall. My school is a Title I school with many of the families living below the poverty line. My students are a diverse group, which include English Learners and students with special needs.

I teach at a Title I school where over 90% of our students are on free lunch and breakfast.

I teach 26 kindergarten children who are eager to learn and need the supplies to do so!

My Project

My students need very basic supplies to help them learn. I have requested basic classroom essentials. My students need paint, an ink pad, and lamination for paper print-out games so they can learn. Paint and markers can be used in almost any part of education and help students use their imaginations to express their creativity. I have also requested basic first aid supplies like Band-Aids and a first aid kit.

These materials will help meet some of our basic needs so students can focus on learning.

Having basic supplies in class will help reduce distractions and improve overall health.
