My students are warm, caring, and have the biggest, loving hearts. The students I serve are third-grade elementary level students who have many reasons for needing extra care academically, socially, and physically. Half of my class consists of students with special needs. The students (98%) at our school are at the poverty level. A good portion(half) of my classroom students are also students with special learning needs. I believe that providing students with the basics that they need is vital to their success. Eighty percent of my students did not come to school with any school supplies this year. I have had to supply them with all of the basics they need to be successful.
Our students will be happy to know that we care about them and that their success and their interests are important to us.
My Project
Help us we are going flat! Our beloved bean bag chairs are all turning into pancake chairs! Our favorite reading chairs are no longer comfy cozy reading chairs but rather they are flat and sad pancake chairs close to the floor. We are in need of beans and foam squares to put inside of our chairs so that they can give us a nice and cozy reading spot to sit in during our reading hour.
These materials will help us replace or repair items to help keep our classroom running smoothly and our student learning.
Our math games are without the necessary dice to keep the games rolling! The dice for our daily have literally disappeared! We are in need of replacements to help us play our games.
