I am learning how to more effectively teach themes that engage students in a way that is more interesting than traditional teaching methods. In an attempt to empower 21st-century learners, constant reinforcement of information is so important. These NYC students need to know how the world around them works and they will be able to do that through project-based learning.
Students learn best when they themselves can work in an environment where they don't have to worry about the basic things they need in the classroom.
I want my students to be able to make sense of the world around them. We as educators need to find more ways to relate the content to something they know. Please, don't allow my students to have this limitation in their education. Please help my students to be able to learn in a way that is more comfortable and suitable for their life.
My Project
Kids have to spend their effort focusing on how to accomplish the task at hand, they shouldn't have to worry about where to get the supplies they need to accomplish those tasks. Whether the student has forgotten their pen or can't afford to get one, we as teachers should be able to supply our classes with the things they need. Unfortunately, those things can be expensive, please help.
We are looking for pens, paper, highlighters, markers, ink, and tissues to make the class run more smoothly.
My students do a lot of reading, writing, and sneezing if we can help with any or all of that we should be able to.
