Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our school is a Title I school with students from second to sixth grade. My students live in the inner city and are mostly English Language Learners. Our school is a pilot/public school. The school's philosophy focuses on leadership skills with an emphasis on critical thinking, 21st-century skills, and college readiness.
My students are dedicated, eager learners, and self-motivated young people who are eager to be lifelong learners.
We aim to provide our students with life long skills in order to be the first in their family to attend college.
My Project
This year my students are really enjoying the writing process and publishing books during Writers Workshop. But my students are in need of basic supplies to organize their work in progress and published pieces. I am asking for binder pockets, pens, labels, magnetic push pins, and folders to use during workshop.
Every single day, we use basic classroom supplies and essentials to help us create quality pieces of writing and academic work.
My students have published many books and the magnetic push pins will make it easy for them to display their work. I have also requested labels to help organize writing materials and personalize writing folders. The folders and binder pockets will help my students organize their writing pieces.
These classroom basic supplies and essentials will allow for my students to continue to create quality academic work by giving our classroom the tools and supplies needed for continued success.
