My Students
What can I tell you about my students? First off, they are truly amazing and inquisitive. They have welcomed me to their school and humble me with their curiosity and humanity. Each day they make me feel at home by stopping by the library to visit, listen to books, make crafts, and explore all the library has to offer!
Our school's theme is that of exploration and innovation and the students I work with are ready for the world of discovery and imagination.
I am proud to be their librarian and want to give them a rich and thought-provoking collection of books.
My Project
I have begun weeding the library and have had to pull books by Eric Carle, Dr.Seuss, Sendak, and more that have been loved until the point of broken bindings and torn pages.
Nothing stimulates the young mind like beautiful, engaging artwork and nothing captures a child's desire to read like a story well told - pair those together and you get a picture book!
Our library is visited by pre-k students as well as kindergartners and 1st and 2nd graders who all adore and cherish - and take out - picture books.
Please help me restock our picture book collection.
