My First grade students love to learn! They love to have fun and be silly but still work hard every day. I teach in an inclusion classroom that includes students with special needs. My classroom is in a Title l school and a large percentage of my students live in poverty and come from low-income households. Despite this, they are eager to try their best even when things are hard.
My students do an amazing job of working together and helping each other learn.
They are kind and respectful of each others differences. I integrate technology throughout the day whenever possible and they love to use their iPad's to take learning to the next level. I am proud to have a classroom full of 21st century learners!
My students are blessed with a classroom set of iPads. Unfortunately, only a handful of my students have headphones that work. We need to headphones for everyday use to learn and grow. My students use many different learning apps during reading and math work stations while I am giving small group instruction.
My students need headphones to help them learn!
The students without headphones have to turn the volume on very low sound to keep the distractions minimal. This is not an ideal work environment for them. It can be hard for them to hear and it causes a distraction to others around them. I believe all my students deserve to have access to quality headphones so they can focus and work to their potential!
