The students in my classroom range from ninth to twelfth grade. I teach in a low income high school in the suburbs of Los Angeles. Many of my students receive free or reduced-price meals at breakfast and lunch.
I am truly blessed with wonderful students!
My students come to class every day eager to learn! They come to class energized. I never get bored of teaching because they always engage in my lessons and make the time go by fast. We have wonderful conversations about what we are learning and what is happening today on the news. They are blossoming into wonderful adults. I can't express enough how wonderful they are. Again, I am truly blessed!
I am looking for a class set of Chromebooks. Currently my school has a limited amount of laptop carts. For such a large campus, the laptops are very difficult to reserve. Many times, they are reserved for several months due to testing. If I am able to reserve the carts, having them more than one day is nearly impossible. I would love for my classroom to be upgraded to a Google Classroom.
With a Google Classroom, I can provide my students with up-to-date content and materials, as well as technological skills that will ensure their success in college and beyond.
I can provide them access to content (Supreme Court Cases, photographs, historical websites, Library of Congress website) that I am able to upload online. Most importantly, with Google Classroom, I will be able to differentiate my lessons to meet the needs of all of my learners.
DonorsChoose makes it easy for anyone to help a classroom in need. Public school teachers from every corner of America create classroom project requests, and you can give any amount to the project that inspires you.
