Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are eager to learn. We have 70-minute periods, a long time to sit at a desk. My students and I are creating ways that they can move around in the classroom without causing too much disruption. Together we thought that stand-up desks would allow their bodies to stretch and move while still focusing on their work.

Allowing students the choice of seating also creates a richer learning environment for them, one in which they feel empowered to grow.

Moving the body will certainly enrich the brain. Thank you!
