My Students
Our high school is a small schools of 457 amazing students. These are truly brilliant young men and women who aim to succeed. Our students hail from the surrounding neighborhoods of East New York, Flatbush and Crown Heights in Brooklyn, NY. The school is made up of Caribbean - American, low- income working families. We have a 94% graduation rate and a 100% college acceptance rate.
Our students are highly interested in Public Service and giving back to the community.
Our school mission is to enable each student to develop the academic and social skills necessary to be an active participant in the community and society. Some have traveled as far as Nepal and Ecuador to work on community projects.
The Class of 2018 boasts a Scholarship Plus finalist, an Ivy League scholar and 115 college- bound students.
My Project
Our Class of 2018 has been a truly amazing group. The have shown effortless work over the last 4 years including volunteering over 10, 000 hours combined throughout the school and in the community. Their work is astounding and as educators we want to acknowledge all that they have done.
We would like to celebrate their high school achievements and post- secondary options by providing the graduates with a pep rally style assembly, goody bags of useful necessities including snacks, post-its, and highlighters which many college bound students require.
In addition we would like to throw the group a pizza party to show our appreciation.
