My students need books! I teach 3rd grade at a Title 1 (high poverty) school. Most kids rely on books from the school, yet our library is almost non-existent. Thank you!
Can you imagine wanting to grow to be a stellar reader, yet there aren't many books available to you? This is unfortunately the case for many of my students.
I teach 3rd grade at a Title 1 (high poverty) school.
These children are eager little learners and I really want to give them the same experience privileged children receive. Learning materials at a school should be a given, but it just isn’t always the case. I try and make the space as bright and cheerful as possible, but funding really restricts some basic necessities. Our "library" is almost non-existent and mostly made up of books that have been donated. I would love to be able to purchase a nice assortment of books for my students to enjoy. Many of the students do not own books of their own and rely on what is available at school. Please help support this dream!
Thanks a bunch!!!!
My Project
Having a classroom library would be a life changing experience for my students. What a fantastic joy to have fun and educational books at your fingertips! Your donation will help secure this opportunity for these eager little learners. I hope that you will assist me in my mission to making these kiddos super reading scholars.
I appreciate you stopping in and reviewing our wish list.
As a teacher, there are so many areas to cover within the classroom. We can only be our best when we have the basic materials to make that happen. I absolutely love working within Title 1 schools (high poverty), but it isn't always easy. Although it seems books should be a given in school, it just isn't a reality for all schools. Your donation will be extremely meaningful to my group of kiddos, and I will be forever grateful.
