This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In today's classrooms, headphones are almost a must! I have great groups of ESL students who love to engage in learning in meaningful ways but often struggle with comprehension in a whole group setting. Having a nice pair of headphones will allow them to listen to the text in the language they need to keep up with their peers and comprehend the material, without drawing attention to their accommodated needs. They also eliminate distractions and help students focus on the task at hand. Each ESL student is also required to take a yearly examination to gauge their language acquisition. The test is made up of listening, reading, writing, and speaking skills. We practice these skills throughout the year during classroom instruction. This can be intimidating for some as they are required to speak in a language they are learning while also doing so in a very quiet room, but a good pair of noise-canceling headphones that are comfortable and easy to use helps alleviate the nerves as they take this leap without fear of others listening or judging.

The products I have selected will make sure every student in my class has a pair of headphones compatible with their assigned device during the test and any time they are needed during class.

The container will keep them from getting broken and make them easy to gather up and store.
