My students need one YCL-255 Standard Bb Clarinet.
This project expired on January 21, 2016.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
Do you remember playing an instrument as a kid? Do you remember the feeling of opening the case with the feeling of anticipation and excitement? I have clarinet players who need your help!
My school is a very large public middle school in a very challenging economic area.
Most of our children get assistance for free lunch. My students enjoy music and for many of them it is a way of keeping them away from other things that are not so positive. Our school like many others is having budget challenges and we are having to make due with what we have. The problem is, what we have is awful.
We begin band in 7th grade in our district. This YCL-255 Standard Bb Clarinet will be given to an 8th grade student to use for the year. My students will use this clarinet for winter and spring concerts, as well as lessons and skills work. As of now, many of my students are using instruments that are broken and are in pieces.
This clarinet will allow a child to experience the thrill of learning a new instrument without the frustrations of using a broken instrument.
This clarinet will change the experience of a child this year and for years to come. You can be the one to make a child's experience the best it can be.
