My students are hard-working seniors who are committed to preparing themselves for the rigor and challenge of college by taking a college-level course in high school. These students are dedicated to engaging in an academic environment, collaborating with peers to enhance the learning experience, and focusing on their educational goals. In AP Government and Politics, students are passionate about being active citizens of their community and progressing as a society. Every day that my students walk into the classroom, they are motivated to dig into content and to do their absolute best to succeed.
My Project
This past summer College Board redesigned the AP Government and Politics Exam. Unfortunately, we cannot purchase new textbooks to best prepare our students for the redesign. President Obama isn't even a Senator yet in our book! In order to best support our students towards their goal of passing the AP Exam to earn college credit, I am looking to provide them a class set of updated AP Gov Test Prep Books from The Princeton Review.
Purchasing a class set will allow all students to have the opportunity to prepare for the Exam without having to purchase outside test prep materials.
As some of my students are of a lower socioeconomic status, they are not able to purchase these said materials at home. All students should have equal access to pursue their educational goals and to secure college credits.
