Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The students at my school are some of the most passionate and spirited students I have ever seen. They love attending various school events and show support They find different ways to show support towards our school and community simply through dress up days, volunteer work, etc. One of the topics that we stress in Leadership class is student government. We learn about management skills as well as creating fun sketches during rallies. Students have the ability to hone in on their leadership skills.
My Project
Part of the class involves teaching students about leadership and student government. Students have to perform skits and make models in class. We need a place for students to store their creations. Students will learn about parliamentary procedures and create models of various governments. Students will store them on the shelves so that no one else can destroy their creations. Colored tape is used by students to tape their model cities. Also, students will use the label tape in label makers to distinguish various parts of the models. Professional presentation helps students finesse their models. Students have a great time creating art and learning about civics.
