Our class motto is PERSEVERE! I would like students to gain an appreciation for STEM learning. The 3 programs that I would like to use in order to teach my students these skills are Snap Circuits, Makey Makey and Arduino. My plans for the school year will definitely put perseverance to the test.
My class is very diverse with nine languages being represented.
They have come together in their words, "As a family" to share their unique talents with each other. I have been very impressed with how they work together to discover solutions to problems. Our school has a large population of ELL (English Language Learner) students. Parents of our students are supportive of the learning process and believe in the importance of education.
My Project
If our class was to receive this donation, they would be able to do amazing things. These items will assist the students in learning about circuitry. They will take what they learn with the snap circuits and apply it to building and coding their own electronic projects. They will learn the importance of planning, designing, solving problems, working collaboratively, and persevering when they have to go back to the drawing board to begin again. These are skills that will benefit them for the rest of their education as well as in life.
This project will make a difference in my student's lives because they will be given scientific opportunities to work collaboratively, think outside of the box, problem solve, and develop solutions.
These skills will give them the confidence and prepare them for their future.
