My Students

My students walk into our classroom every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day. I ask them, "Who is the smartest first grade class in the whole world?" and they reply, "We are!" I want them to know I believe in them and they can do anything.

I teach at a school with a wide range of diversity including social, racial, and economic.

Despite the challenges, my students are eager to learn and do their best. They have a desire to attend school because they want to learn all they can in order to be successful.

My Project

I am requesting a rug for my classroom to use during our story time, calendar, and whole group lessons. My students need a cozy carpet to invite them to learn. We spend most of our day on the floor and my students would love to have a comfy space of their own while they take on the learning challenges of 1st grade.

Having this classroom rug will allow my students to stay focused on their learning instead of worrying about where and what they are sitting on.

Minimizing distractions and increasing their focus is optimal for helping kindergarteners learn and grow.
