Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students go to an urban school with a variety of socio-economic backgrounds. My students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. My students struggle with remembering mathematical concepts and most do no not have opportunities to practice mathematical skills outside of the classroom setting.
Mathematical concepts can be learned through fun, exciting activities.
My students need to experience math in new, exciting ways that will enable them to meet with success. My students do not have a strong belief in themselves when it comes to mathematical concepts.

These materials will help us stay organized in our table groups and will get us started on our escape room adventures.
Can you use your math skills to escape the math room?
We are always learning new ways to solve math problems. We are going to bring some excitement into our math classes by using escape room fun. We will be solving math problem and using those answers to solve riddles, puzzles and unlock secret boxes.
Metal boxes will be locked and our adventure will begin with the anticipation of cracking the code and solving our teacher’s riddles and questions.
