In my class I strive daily to prepare my students for the world with not only knowledge, but to bestow upon them a zest and passion for lifelong learning. They are dreamers, thinkers, talkers, and questioners. They are mini inspirations to themselves and others around them, even if they don't know it yet.
They are budding ambassadors, world travelers, scientists, entrepreneurs, teachers.
They are our future and I want to give them a great start to their long, successful careers.
My Project
My students are earnest learners with the ability to soar with proper guidance and support.
Coupled with their drive to learn, students also need teachers to meet the demands of technology usage, guide students to think deeply, and to express their understanding of materials in new innovative ways.
With Chromebooks, students are building their skill-set with not only study skills, but by learning academic vocabulary, which includes digital and literacy skills. Additionally, the ability to collaborate is abundant with the ease of Google Drive. The learned skill of "sharing" documents and projects is valuable to students because they are able to work together to create a project such as our recent "Trading Cards" on Google Art. With one-to-one computers, students in my class will be working on all areas of the curriculum, which will include STEM projects and portfolios. Students are motivated and accountable to check their grades, email teachers in a professional manner, and to produce and create works from various classes. Chromebooks allow students to access this material and is essential in helping them meet their goals. The charging station will help with student safety alleviating cords from the floor and will allow for longevity for future students. This charging station is pivotal in allowing my students to meet this lofty goal.
