My students are a vibrant bunch. Every morning they come to school enthusiastic about learning. They get excited to see each other, work together, and be successful.
The best part about my class is that they are all the best of friends.
They would do anything for one another. Whether it is helping with spelling a word, a math problem, or a friend problem, each and every one will always have each other's back. If someone gets teased, they problem solve together to make sure it doesn't happen again. Their willingness to accept each other and to always be friendly is inspiring.
My Project
My students love technology. It motivates them, keeps them focused, and helps them produce their best work. The Samsung Chromebooks will help the students get prepared for college and career readiness.
My students will take the same computer-based state exams as students in affluent neighborhoods who have access to computers all day every day.
Our scores will be compared to theirs at an early age, and student scores will again be compared when they are entering college and the workforce. Giving students access to technology at a young age is what they need!
Picture someone you know who has trouble with technology. With everything around us this day in age, it is difficult to get by without being tech savvy. I want to give my students the same opportunities that all students have and help close the achievement gap!
